Mazda Motor Corporation began as the Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd., established in Japan in 1920. Founded by Jujiro Matsuda, it is a Japanese automotive manufacturer with its headquarters located in Hiroshima, Japan. The name Mazda was coined from Ahura Mazda, the highest Zoroastrian God of reason who granted wisdom and united man, nature and the other gods.
History of Mazda
Mazda had previously used a number of different marques in the Japanese market which have since been phased out. In early 1922, Mazda prepared to release a luxury marque to challenge Acura, Infiniti, and Lexus in North America, which was to begin selling in late 1993. The marque is named as Amati and was eventually scrapped before any cars hit the market. Today, the former marques is in Japan as sales channels.During 2007, the company produced almost 1.3 million vehicles for global sales. Most of these were produced in the company’s Japanese plants. The remaining number of units came from a variety of other plants worldwide. As quoted by the company itself, “Everything we do is daring, ingenious and fun. In addition, our cars all have that extra-special ‘Zoom-Zoom’ factor: sports-inspired design and motoring in their soul.” This is mirrored through the cars they produced. Mazda Financial Services provides their customers with outstanding performance, reliability, and value. Because of that, the company offers specially tailored motoring and finance related insurance protection, designed to provide the buyers with total motoring peace of mind. Since Mazda car is one of the most luxurious cars, it is rather difficult to find a cheap insurance for this type.
